For all the challenges they are definitely first-world problems. My life is a blessing and pray that my deeds share those blessings with others for the best and highest good of All Life.
Not even a speck in the Universe but still a part of something unimaginably enormous.
We can only love others as much as we love ourselves. If we do not love ourselves and live under the tyranny of our ego then we will treat others in like manner.
The more effort I make to connect with the Earth the more I know how disconnected I have been. And how can I be good to Earth and all its creation if I do not make a meaningful connection?
We humans can continue to indulge our lust for convenience and comfort. We can pretend our actions that violate the Earth have no consequences. We can ignore scientific research that shows unprecedented changes in the environment we humans rely on. We can continue with business as usual. But the Earth has no obligation to corporate shareholder profits.
As I walked down my suburban street in a state elevated by prayer and being in sacred community the world seemed very alive. I came to a full stop when I saw a face in a tree.
